Adolescent Wellness Academy (AWA) provides extensive outpatient services tailored for youth aged 13-17, focusing on mental health and concurrent issues like substance use disorders. Their comprehensive programs integrate personalized evidence-based individual and group therapy, along with creative activities and academic assistance, all while prioritizing a family-oriented approach. A dedicated team collaborates with both clients and their families, helping adolescents develop resilience, enhance self-awareness, and improve relationships with peers and family members in a supportive environment conducive to healing. The therapeutic day program at AWA represents their most intensive level of care, classified as a partial hospitalization program (PHP). It delivers a structured schedule similar to residential care but allows participants to stay at home. This program consists of eight hours of treatment each day, five days a week, including one hour of individual therapy and four hours of group sessions weekly. Concurrently, 2-3 hours of educational support are provided with an education coordinator to ensure that students maintain their academic progress. Clients also receive weekly psychiatric evaluations to monitor their developments and adjust their treatment strategies as needed. Nutritional guidance is offered when required, along with daily meals, snacks, and beverages. Participants typically engage in the PHP for a duration of 4 to 12 weeks before progressing to an intensive outpatient program (IOP). The IOP is an afternoon initiative catering to teens experiencing mild depression, anxiety, trauma, behavioral challenges, or substance use disorders. This program lasts 3 hours each day, 3 to 5 days a week, and consists of two group sessions. It also incorporates experiential and creative activities like music, yoga, and mindfulness, with dedicated study areas for homework assistance. Families and teens generally spend between 10 to 16 weeks in the IOP. Family participation is a crucial aspect of treatment at AWA, highlighting the role of parents and caregivers in their child’s recovery. The center organizes a weekly support group for parents, monthly multi-family support sessions, and offers clinical services for crisis management. Families at AWA can also join regular family therapy practices.
The Rehabilitation Center specializes in the treatment of mental health disorders alongside substance use disorders. Here, you will benefit from a tailored approach that combines both elements, promoting comprehensive healing for the individual.
