Brandon School and Residential Treatment Center is dedicated to assisting boys aged 7 to 18 who face emotional and behavioral challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and ADHD, among others. Nestled on a scenic 35-acre property just outside of Boston, the center provides both short-term and long-term care options, including day school, residential treatment, and thorough assessments. At Brandon, families discover renewed hope as each child is recognized for their unique strengths rather than merely their difficulties. Brandon employs a research-informed, trauma-sensitive approach known as CARE, which fosters healing through nurturing relationships, family engagement, and purposeful activities. The therapeutic offerings consist of individual, group, and family counseling, cognitive-behavioral therapy, expressive therapies, along with tailored assessments for trauma-related issues, firesetting behavior, and problematic sexual behaviors. Each treatment plan is customized to support healthy growth for boys in a secure environment. At the Brandon School, the daily schedule is both structured and nurturing. Mornings begin with self-care and breakfast, followed by classes located on campus. After a lunch period, academic activities resume in the afternoon. Post-classes, students engage in various enriching pursuits, including photography, baking, gardening, or playing sports. Evenings feature dinner, leisure time, a snack, and personal care routines before bedtime. Boys reside in inviting, home-like accommodations, with options for shared or private rooms and guided daily activities. The expansive 35-acre wooded campus near Boston offers walking paths, sports fields, gardens, and a fully equipped gym. Daily life is complemented by nutritious meals, on-site medical support, and access to educational and therapeutic resources, contributing to a comprehensive and nurturing atmosphere.
The center specializes in addressing mental health disorders alongside concurrent substance use problems. Patients are provided with tailored, cooperative care that focuses on both aspects for comprehensive recovery and well-being.
