Discovery Mood & Anxiety Program Southport provides outpatient mental health treatment services tailored for adolescents aged 11 and above, as well as adults. Since its establishment in 1997, Discovery has integrated its experience with research-supported therapeutic methods to address various mood and anxiety disorders. The center offers multiple care levels for young people, including a partial hospitalization program (PHP) and an intensive outpatient program (IOP), which is also accessible to individuals 18 and older. The program focuses on treating conditions such as depression, self-injurious behaviors, bipolar disorder, anxiety, trauma, and reactive attachment disorder using cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and other empirically validated techniques in both individual and group formats. In addition, Discovery Mood & Anxiety provides a virtual mental health treatment option for those unable to participate in person. Virtual participants receive evidence-based therapies alongside personalized sessions with a therapist. Both the virtual and onsite programs are rooted in the same therapeutic principles, offering educational support for younger clients. The virtual option is particularly beneficial for individuals with commitments nearby or those facing transportation challenges.
At this center, individuals receive customized support for their mental health issues. The team offers therapeutic interventions and adapts treatment plans to suit your specific requirements, diagnoses, and personal preferences.
Discovery Mood & Anxiety Program works with a variety of commercial insurance plans. However, currently, they do not accept Medicare or Medicaid.
