Life Center of Hillsville is a facility within the Acadia Healthcare network situated in the quaint town of Hillsville, Virginia. Spanning 100 acres, the center features a scenic 1-mile walking trail. The dedicated team includes doctors, nurses, and counselors who work collaboratively to monitor patients’ progress and make necessary adjustments to their personalized treatment plans. The center provides a range of therapeutic options, including individual, family, and group sessions, along with experiential activities that promote physical well-being. Various treatment modalities are utilized, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), 12-step meetings, motivational interviewing, and experiential art therapy. Life Center of Hillsville offers both residential and partial hospitalization program (PHP) services, aimed at adult men dealing with substance use issues related to alcohol, marijuana, cocaine, opioids, and methamphetamine. The residential program caters to those who may also have co-occurring mental health disorders, including bipolar disorder and ADHD. While medication management is available in the residential program, it is not provided in the PHP. The PHP involves comprehensive programming several days a week and may include medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for individuals facing challenges with opioid dependence. In accordance with Virginia regulations and the specifics of their program, Life Center of Hillsville is unable to accept individuals who fit the following criteria: actively suicidal or homicidal, on dialysis, exhibiting violent tendencies, diagnosed with schizophrenia, registered as a sex offender, having a current eating disorder, or experiencing psychosis with hallucinations or delusions.
