Situated just a mile and a half from the Ken Euers Nature Area and west of Green Bay, Adult and Teen Challenge Northeast Wisconsin provides Christian-focused substance use rehabilitation for men in the Northeast Wisconsin area, alongside opportunities for both personal and spiritual development. This comprehensive 12-month program integrates a four-tiered educational framework, community involvement, pastoral guidance, relapse prevention tactics, goal setting, and follow-up care. The educational framework consists of four levels: Accept, Heal, Discover, and Practice. In the acceptance phase, participants are taught to identify detrimental thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors linked to substance abuse, while also learning to lean on God’s love. The healing stage allows clients to implement their insights from the acceptance phase to amend negative patterns and engage in healthier decision-making, thought processes, and relationships. The discovery level encourages individuals to swap harmful thoughts and behaviors for constructive ones, aligning with God’s design. Lastly, in the practice phase, clients develop personal objectives and strategies for their life after the program, focusing on education and career prospects for future success. Family interactions are promoted with specified visiting hours. Regular community service enhances participants' life skills and fosters character building. They also receive individual pastoral counseling and participate in various spiritual initiatives to support their growth. Access to exercise equipment is available to enhance both physical and spiritual well-being. Graduates are urged to take part in aftercare services, which involve connecting with local churches and recovery support groups along with meetings with the aftercare team. To maintain a concentrated focus on recovery and spiritual advancement, personal electronic devices and smoking are prohibited, although participants can use a phone during specified times. Personal vehicles are not permitted, thus requiring clients to coordinate transportation to the center. Interstates 43 and 41 are conveniently located within a mile for easy access for families.
