Northwest Passage's Riverside campus, based in Webster, Wisconsin, serves as a residential treatment center focused on supporting adolescent males and gender-diverse youth aged 12 to 17. The facility is beautifully situated on 70 acres along the Clam River and features three family-oriented homes, a gymnasium, a fitness center, classrooms, and a dedicated arts space. Surrounded by picturesque gardens, a yurt, docks ideal for fishing, kayaks, a hammock area, nature trails, sports courts, and a fire pit, this serene setting fosters healing and personal development. The Riverside program prioritizes cultivating resilience through a therapeutic lifestyle informed by The PassageWay principles. It offers experiential learning opportunities, cutting-edge mental health interventions, and the cultivation of effective coping mechanisms. Individualized treatment plans incorporate evidence-based methodologies such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), SMART skills, and Attachment, Regulation, and Competency (ARC)-related strategies. Activities including mountain biking, fishing, canoeing, nature photography, and woodworking are part of the program to promote therapeutic engagement and skill acquisition. The facility is designed to accommodate up to 26 residents in its three homes, with average stays ranging from six to ten months, and maintains a minimum staff-to-client ratio of 1:4 to provide tailored support and attention. Northwest Passage is dedicated to fostering an inclusive atmosphere where youth from various backgrounds are embraced and supported. The multidisciplinary team works in close collaboration with residents and their families to promote emotional regulation, build positive relationships, and encourage community ties, with the goal of helping each individual discover a renewed sense of self and achieve sustainable personal growth.
At this center, individuals receive individualized support for mental health challenges. The facility offers therapeutic interventions and customizes treatment plans to suit each person’s specific requirements, diagnoses, and personal choices.
