Prosperity Eating Disorders and Wellness Center focuses on tailored treatments that prioritize the patient’s perspective, involve family support, and are led by skilled professionals. The center specializes in addressing various eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder (BED), unspecified eating disorders (ED NOS), and avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID). Additionally, they provide care for co-occurring conditions such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), self-harm issues, and substance use concerns. Available programs encompass partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) services for both adults and adolescents aged 10 and older, with the IOP being accessible during both daytime and evening hours. Groups prioritize developmental stages and age rather than solely diagnoses. At Prosperity, clients are guided to comprehend the origins and perpetuation of their eating disorders, aiming to lead fulfilling lives independently from them. The center applies principles from Health at Every Size (HAES) and All Foods Fit, alongside a compassionate, customized treatment philosophy. They employ evidence-based techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and radically open dialectical behavior therapy (RO DBT). Their programming includes individual therapy, nutritional guidance, psychiatric support, and family-focused sessions. Prosperity creates a nurturing environment where clients can embrace a balanced lifestyle that includes all types of food. Collaboratively, they develop individualized meal plans that encourage self-efficacy and foster a healthy relationship with food. Utilizing a plate-based approach to balance portions and nutrients, they adapt to exchange-based plans if necessary. During mealtimes, staff work to confront and challenge disordered thinking, behaviors regarding food, and fear-based reactions in a supportive manner. Clients participate in practical experiences such as portioning exercises, grocery shopping, dining outings, and cooking groups, all complemented with time for discussion about their struggles and skills to progress toward recovery. As they become more attuned to their hunger and satiety cues, clients transition to an intuitive eating approach that promotes true food freedom. The outpatient facility at Prosperity is designed to be warm and welcoming. With invitingly decorated areas featuring comfortable seating and real dining setups, the center fosters a relaxed space conducive to healing and social connection. Carefully planned for accessibility, it ensures that all clients, including those who may need wheelchair access or who are larger-bodied, can receive care in a supportive environment. Families attending PHP are also offered discounted rates at a nearby hotel.
