The center's program features off-site detoxification services and a comprehensive 12-week intensive outpatient (IOP) program. With a dedicated team of 25 professionals, Recovery Unlimited provides support to more than 500 clients at any given time. Clients have the option to undergo detox at home or at the nearby El Paso County Detoxification Center, also referred to as Sandstone Care Detox Center, conveniently situated just 15 minutes north of the facility. The IOP program operates by appointment throughout the week, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and also accepts walk-ins during weekdays. Participants engage in 9 hours of group therapy weekly, along with individualized sessions with a licensed therapist. Treatment methods focus on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, which effectively address co-occurring mental health issues, trauma, and various underlying addiction factors. Additionally, the center assists clients with medication management and provides Vivitrol and Suboxone to aid in drug cessation. Regular drug screenings are conducted to track clients' recovery progress. To avoid the risk of further addiction, Recovery Unlimited does not prescribe medications such as Ambien, sedative hypnotics, opioids, benzodiazepines, or stimulants. Their peer support initiative is designed to guide clients in maintaining long-term recovery. The facility also offers level 4+ DUI services and parole assistance to help clients remain in recovery while staying out of incarceration. They can refer clients to primary care providers for any other medical needs, whether routine or urgent. Each week, Recovery Unlimited hosts complimentary 90-minute family support sessions, creating a nurturing environment that fosters long-term recovery.
