The Dena A Coy Residential Treatment Program, part of Southcentral Foundation, provides essential support to women facing challenges related to substance abuse, as well as emotional and mental health issues. This program caters to women who are pregnant, parenting, or not currently raising children, emphasizing a healing process that centers on Native cultural practices. Importantly, mothers can bring their young children, aged three and under, to stay with them during their treatment. The program takes a holistic approach, addressing the needs of the entire individual—mind, body, and spirit. Participants engage in both individual and group therapy sessions, covering important topics such as parenting strategies, managing anger, developing healthy relationships, preventing relapse, and coping with depression and anxiety. These therapeutic interventions aim to help women enhance their coping mechanisms, foster emotional growth, and equip them for a healthier future within their families and communities. Accommodations include shared rooms for women, except for those with children, who are provided private rooms that come with necessary baby furniture like cribs or toddler beds. Daily meals and snacks are provided, with the facility being certified by Food and Nutrition Services (FNS). A kitchen is accessible around the clock for light snacks and beverages. Dena A Coy creates a nurturing and tranquil environment where women can prioritize their recovery and work towards rebuilding their lives with the dignity and support they need.
The Rehabilitation Center focuses on helping individuals overcome substance use issues along with related mental health challenges. Our approach involves creating a customized treatment strategy that effectively addresses all concerns simultaneously, ensuring empathetic support for holistic recovery.
Dena A Coy works with a variety of leading insurance providers, such as Medicaid, Medicare, and Denali KidCare. Charges are determined based on income, and access to services is guaranteed regardless of an individual's financial situation.
