New Haven’s Stabilization & Assessment program provides a dedicated residential setting for girls aged 12-17 who are facing severe emotional challenges or are transitioning from hospital treatment. The focus of the program is to foster a secure and supportive environment where young individuals can find stability and undergo detailed psychological evaluations, targeting concerns such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and self-injurious behaviors. Adopting a collaborative approach that includes families, New Haven ensures that both the young person and their relatives receive essential support during the healing journey. The duration of treatment typically ranges from 6 to 8 weeks and does not include educational instruction. A team of professionals delivers a variety of therapies including dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed therapy, and the Safe & Sound Protocol, which aids in emotional stability. Each person’s pathway is overseen by a licensed clinical psychologist, who performs thorough assessments to provide customized insights into their cognitive and emotional well-being, helping to formulate individualized treatment programs. Participants also engage in life skills development, recreational activities, equine-assisted therapy, various expressive therapies, mindfulness practices, physical exercise, and yoga sessions.
At this center, you will experience individualized support for mental health issues. The staff offers counseling and customizes treatment plans to fit your specific conditions, diagnoses, and personal preferences.
At our center, we gladly accept a variety of insurance plans on an out-of-network basis. We operate under an assigned billing model, which ensures that families are accountable only for the specific cost shares determined by their insurance, such as deductibles, coinsurance, and copayments. We also offer the option to verify benefits and can provide private payment alternatives if needed.
