The Steward House at Silver Hill was established through a partnership with Yale New Haven Health and the Psychiatry Department of the Yale School of Medicine. This center caters to successful executives and professionals who are dealing with substance use issues alongside mental health disorders. Each individual is provided with a tailored treatment strategy crafted by skilled mental health practitioners utilizing evidence-based practices. The focus of the treatment is on restoring crucial life skills and enhancing the capacity to manage conflicts, everyday difficulties, and future aspirations. The program initiates with an in-depth bio-psycho-social evaluation. Clients benefit from medication oversight and supportive therapy provided by the resident psychiatrist. The range of services includes personal and group therapy, family support sessions, wellness initiatives, and self-help activities. Daily schedules blend structured programming with free time dedicated to introspection or relaxation. During weekends, the activities become more laid-back, featuring chapel services, wellness sessions, and opportunities for family interactions. Situated in Canaan, Connecticut, the Steward House is nestled within a picturesque 44-acre wooded property. The facility boasts eight semi-private and private bedrooms, each equipped with its own bathroom. Available amenities comprise meals prepared by a chef, internet connectivity, a business center, and a recreation area. Additionally, a pool and wellness center nearby enhance the options for physical activity and leisure.
The center specializes in the treatment of both substance use disorders and mental health issues. Clients are provided with personalized care tailored to their specific needs and diagnoses, acquire practical recovery skills, and foster new relationships in a supportive setting.
