Boise Girls Academy is a faith-based residential school situated in Nampa, approximately 20 miles from Boise, catering to girls aged 13-17 facing various behavioral issues such as substance abuse, suicidal thoughts, self-injury, academic struggles, and risky behaviors. The typical duration of the program is around 15 months, with the flexibility for extensions if necessary, and the initial fee is $9,450, which encompasses tuition, living arrangements, meals, recreational activities, personal care items, and uniforms. Families can inquire about the possibility of scholarships and qualification criteria before enrollment. The spiritual development aspect of the program includes group meetings five times a week, daily personal reflection time, Sunday church services, and informal mentorship through daily interactions. Relationships are fostered during communal meals, which are served family-style with staff. Activities and sports are an integral part of the experience, both within the facility and through competitions with other schools, particularly in volleyball. Facilities include a gym, a court for pickleball, and a basketball area. Participants also engage in swimming, disc golf, hiking, and aerobics. Each girl is involved in household chores and receives guidance on completing them. The program also includes life skills training, such as caring for farm animals like chickens, goats, a bunny, and a turkey, alongside assisting staff with meal preparation. Students take part in community service projects both on-site and with local organizations. Parents have the opportunity to attend weekends every other month from Friday evening to Saturday evening, starting four months after their daughter’s enrollment. Each student is paired with a dedicated staff member for weekly group therapy sessions and individualized counseling. This staff person serves as the liaison for parents, supporting them in tracking their daughter’s development. After completing the program, Boise Girls Academy provides a 3-5 month aftercare plan to help students and their families transition. The academic program at Boise Girls Academy is delivered through Lighthouse Christian Academy and A.C.E. (Accelerated Christian Education). Students are officially enrolled in both Lighthouse and Boise Girls Academy during their academic journey. The curriculum is accredited by COGNIA and NCAA and is recognized by the state of Idaho.
This center focuses on the treatment of substance use disorders, assisting you in achieving stability, developing strategies to prevent relapse, and linking you with empathetic support.
At Teen Challenge Boise Girls Academy, we understand that navigating the financial aspects of treatment can be challenging for families. We strive to make our program as accessible as possible while maintaining a high standard of care for our students. The total cost of our program is $9,450, which encompasses tuition, housing, meals, activities, toiletries, and uniforms. While we do not accept insurance directly, we encourage families to explore their insurance policies to determine if any out-of-network benefits may apply. Many families have successfully utilized health savings accounts or flexible spending accounts to cover the costs of treatment. Additionally, we offer scholarship opportunities based on eligibility, which can significantly reduce the financial burden for those who qualify. We recommend that parents inquire about these options prior to admission to better understand the possibilities available to them. Our program is structured to provide comprehensive support and guidance to both students and families throughout their time with us and following their graduation through an aftercare plan. We are here to assist you in any way we can during this important journey for your child. Please feel free to reach out to our admissions team for more information about payment options and financial assistance.
