The Renfrew Center offers a welcoming environment for adolescent girls, women, transgender women, and non-binary individuals in New York and Connecticut seeking treatment for eating disorders. Their focus is on providing evidence-based support for clients and their families. The day treatment program is tailored for those transitioning from residential care or needing a more flexible, structured approach. The intensive outpatient program (IOP) serves individuals requiring extra assistance beyond standard outpatient offerings, while the outpatient program caters to those wanting regular weekly support through individual, family, or group therapy sessions. The day treatment schedule involves five days of programming that includes both group and individual therapy, medication management, psychiatric assessments, two daily meals plus snacks, nutrition counseling, expressive therapies, and psychoeducation. The IOP runs three times a week and offers nutrition guidance, group therapy, psychiatric services, one daily meal, and psychoeducational support. At the Renfrew Center, clients can connect with peers who share similar experiences. Each client's treatment plan is uniquely tailored to address their specific needs, including co-occurring issues such as trauma and substance use. Additionally, all three outpatient programs are available in a virtual format for added convenience.
At this center, you will receive specialized support for eating disorders, guiding you through symptom management, developing coping strategies, and improving your physical well-being with the help of qualified professionals.
Renfrew collaborates with over 400 insurance providers nationwide and has a committed team ready to help create a personalized financial strategy, ensuring that treatment remains both affordable and within reach.
