The transitional living program known as Upper Room was established to create a secure and supportive environment for individuals committed to their recovery. This center aims to assist both men and women in progressing towards a self-sufficient and fulfilling life, free from substance abuse. Upper Room promotes inclusivity and welcomes participants from diverse backgrounds, regardless of race, religion, disability, or gender identity. To be considered for admission to Upper Room, applicants must be at least 30 days sober and clean, possess no criminal record, show a genuine desire to change, interact positively with others, and consent to routine drug and alcohol testing. Residents can choose to stay in dormitory-style accommodations specifically designated for their gender at a cost of $100 each week. They will engage in regular meetings with a case manager to track their development, participate in volunteer activities, attend Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous sessions, join house meetings, secure a 12-Step sponsor, and take part in any religious services they prefer. If an individual has not yet achieved sobriety, the staff at Upper Room can direct them to local facilities that can offer the necessary support. Residents are responsible for providing their own food, toiletries, and laundry items.
The focus of this center is on addressing substance use disorders, aiding individuals in achieving stability, developing strategies to prevent relapse, and accessing empathetic support.
At Upper Room Recovery, we are committed to providing accessible and supportive transitional living for individuals dedicated to their recovery journey. Our program operates on a fee of $100 per week for dorm-style, gender-specific housing. This affordable rate covers essential living arrangements as clients engage in their recovery process. While we do not accept direct insurance payments, we encourage prospective clients to explore various coverage options that may reimburse them for treatment or recovery services. Additionally, our team is willing to assist clients in understanding payment alternatives or financial resources that may be available to support their transitional living experience. For those individuals who have not yet reached the 30-day sober threshold required for admission, our staff can recommend local organizations and programs that provide the necessary care to begin their recovery. We believe in fostering an environment of inclusivity and support and are dedicated to helping all residents achieve a productive and independent life free from substance use.
