Wellspring is a comprehensive residential facility that caters to adolescent girls facing emotional, relational, and mental health challenges. Established in 1977, Wellspring is a non-profit organization accredited by the Joint Commission, ensuring adherence to top-tier care standards. The program merges therapeutic interventions with academic support at the on-site Arch Bridge School, equipping young women with vital resources and structured experiences to cultivate positive relationships with peers, staff, and family members. The center addresses various issues such as mood disorders, personality disorders, eating disorders, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and substance dependence. It focuses on relational therapies, encompassing both individual and group sessions, family therapy, and peer support groups. The dedicated care team also oversees medication management, expressive arts therapy, recreational activities, mindfulness practices, and academic instruction through the Arch Bridge School. This educational setting combines treatment with academic rigor while offering a safe, nurturing environment for personal development. A student's engagement and success in the school serve as critical indicators of their preparedness for reintegration into their home environment, with staff facilitating a seamless transition back to their previous educational institutions. Situated in Bethlehem, Connecticut, the Wellspring campus spans 15 acres and features two residential programs for girls. The Beauvais Program, located in a charming farmhouse, accommodates 19 girls aged 13 to 18, while the Shiloah Program, set in a cozy house, has 8 beds for younger girls aged 12 to 16. The grounds include beautiful gardens, pastures, and a barn that hosts a diverse animal program with goats, bunnies, and chickens, easily accessible to residents. Girls are encouraged to walk independently to classes at the Arch Bridge School and to various activities at the Dodds Center for Arts and Athletics, promoting autonomy and accountability. Off-campus opportunities include hiking, swimming, horseback riding, camping, visits to amusement parks, museums, and adventure excursions. Typically, residents stay for an average of 12 to 18 months.
At this center, individuals are offered customized support for mental health issues. The facility emphasizes individualized therapy and adapts treatment plans according to each person's specific requirements, diagnoses, and preferences.
At Wellspring Adolescent Girls Program, we are committed to providing high-quality care to our residents while ensuring access to our services through various payment options. We accept a range of insurance plans and work closely with families to help facilitate the reimbursement process. Our admissions team is knowledgeable about the intricacies of insurance coverage and is available to assist families in understanding their benefits. For those who do not have insurance or whose plans may not cover the full cost of treatment, we offer information about alternative financing options and potential scholarship assistance. Our primary goal is to make our long-term residential program accessible to all young women who require our specialized therapeutic services for mental, relational, and emotional concerns. We encourage families to reach out for more detailed information regarding specific providers, accepted insurance policies, and any financial assistance programs we may have available. At Wellspring, we prioritize the well-being of our residents and aim to ensure that cost does not hinder access to essential therapeutic support and educational resources.
