Therapeutic services at Yale are available both in-person and through virtual platforms. The Outpatient Psychiatric Services at 425 George Street provides intensive outpatient (IOP) programming. They offer different tracks, including a general IOP, a dual diagnosis track for individuals dealing with both addiction and mental health issues, and a dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) track specifically for those with borderline personality disorder (BPD) and similar conditions. Each of these IOP tracks runs 3 to 4 times per week, for a duration of 4 hours each session. Within each treatment pathway, Yale facilitates focused group sessions addressing bipolar disorder, anxiety, familial challenges, grief, and trauma. Beyond traditional talk therapy, they also offer several biomedical interventions, such as ketamine and esketamine injections, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and electroconvulsive therapy (ECT).
